Position Overview:

As a Technical Solutions Specialist focusing on real-time location services, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the sales process by offering technical knowledge, conducting solution demonstrations, and providing support to our sales team, partner network, and clients.

Your collaboration with sales, product development, implementation, and customer success teams will be essential in delivering tailored RTLS solutions that cater to the specific needs of our clients.

This position is designed for individuals who possess a strong technical and clinical understanding, particularly within healthcare environments.

The ideal candidate will effectively communicate complex technical subjects to both operational and clinical audiences, translating their business requirements into actionable insights for sales, project management, and product teams to develop market-driven solutions.

This role is integrated within the commercial sales organization and will report to the VP of Solution Sales, playing a crucial part in assisting the sales team in navigating opportunities through the sales pipeline.

The successful candidate will demonstrate robust technical knowledge of RTLS, a comprehensive understanding of its applications, exceptional communication abilities, and a commitment to a collaborative approach aimed at exceeding customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

Performance Metrics:
  • Achievement of overall sales quota and profitability targets.
  • Individual quota attainment per Sales Director.
  • Reduction of the average sales cycle with an opportunity closure rate exceeding 75% for partner-led initiatives.

Technical Advisory:

Serve as a trusted consultant to clients, identifying their business challenges and proposing suitable real-time location services solutions.


Demonstration of Solutions:

Facilitate product demonstrations and presentations to illustrate the capabilities and advantages of our RTLS solutions, effectively conveying the value proposition to potential clients.


Requirements Analysis:

Engage closely with the sales team, partners, and clients to gather and interpret their requirements, converting them into technical specifications and solution designs.


Team Collaboration:

Work alongside cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and customer success, to ensure that customer needs align with product capabilities.


Market Awareness:

Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies in the real-time location services sector, using this knowledge to inform product development and sales strategies.

Develop a thorough understanding of CenTrak solutions to act as the product and technology expert for sales teams, partners, and clients.

Support sales and marketing efforts as a technical expert during customer meetings and demonstration presentations.

Collaborate with sales teams, partners, and clients to create pre-sales proposal scopes, statements of work, rough order magnitudes, and quotes.

Generate multi-use-case solution decision tools to streamline scope and technical architecture diagrams along with summary requirements.

Keep abreast of CenTrak hardware design standards and understand the implications of significant deviations; assess product capability SWOT and gaps in functionality or competitive threats, developing strategies to address them while educating sales and partners.

Assist in delivering internal training sessions for new product launches and refresher courses on key solutions as needed.

Provide responses for sales-related technical requests for proposals and customer evaluation meetings.

Support project management with complex sales transitions and initial customer project meetings, ensuring a consistent presence during handoffs.

Continue to contribute to the development of statements of work and quoting tools, assisting the Sales Operations team as required, and transitioning operational ownership upon completion.

Engage with clients through various communication channels to ensure their needs are clearly understood and addressed.

This position requires a home office setup and a commitment to travel to client locations as necessary.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required (Master's degree preferred).

Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is desired, with a solid understanding of patient and staff workflows, asset management, and safety protocols.

Proven track record in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or solution architecture, particularly in real-time location services or similar technologies.

Strong grasp of real-time location services technologies, including RFID, GPS, BLE, UWB, and associated protocols.

Demonstrated ability to comprehend client requirements, identify business opportunities, and develop customized solutions to meet client needs.
