Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in evaluating financial outcomes and key performance indicators. This role is essential for assisting in the development, execution, oversight, and support of budgets and various financial reports and analytical tools. A critical aspect of this position involves extracting data from multiple systems, including general ledgers, retail point-of-sale systems, and e-commerce order management platforms, to provide valuable insights for management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with budget managers to formulate headcount, operational expenses, and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Oversee monthly variance analysis of financial outcomes, conducting reviews with business partners to ensure clarity on drivers and operational implications.
  • Promote best practices in financial planning and analysis, assisting business partners in refining processes that enhance the budgeting experience.
  • Work alongside accounting teams to investigate and resolve any unusual variances, improving the accuracy of monthly financial reporting.
  • Engage with business partners to establish key performance benchmarks for each sales channel and product cost area, focusing on labor productivity, expense reduction targets, and departmental scorecard metrics.
  • In collaboration with the Controller, assess reporting components within the current chart of accounts to implement recommended changes that improve financial variance analysis.
  • Conduct reporting and analysis as required, including special projects as assigned.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology and innovation to improve departmental efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4-7 years of experience in financial planning and variance analysis, ideally within multi-channel retail or consumer products manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.
  • Familiarity with Adaptive Planning is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate efforts across various business leaders; a collaborative approach to effectively partner across different organizational levels.
  • Effective writing skills that convey structured communication points to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-driven and highly organized; proven track record of delivering timely and accurate information to enhance organizational performance.
  • Adept at multitasking, prioritizing, and managing diverse responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and manage change proactively and positively.
Compensation:
The expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $120,000 annually. However, the actual base salary offered may vary based on individual factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package may also include additional elements, alongside a comprehensive range of generous medical, financial, and other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits. Specific details regarding participation in these benefit plans will be provided upon receiving an employment offer.
