Our financial operations team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst.

About the Role:

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in overseeing the financial functions of our organization, including financial reporting, analysis, loan management, and operational enhancements. Key responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of financial records, addressing audit inquiries, generating financial reports, and acting as the main financial liaison.

The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to analyze, reconcile, forecast, and effectively communicate financial information to advocate for the optimal allocation of resources. This individual will also have the strategic and interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to identify financial solutions that support community initiatives within a complex financial landscape.

Work Schedule:

Our staff currently operates on a full-time hybrid schedule, with a combination of remote and in-office workdays. Additional in-office presence may be required based on operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management
  • Ensure precise accounting within the financial management system.
  • Reconcile financial records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Address audit requests and prepare comprehensive financial statements.
  • Oversee month-end reporting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Budget Oversight
  • Assist in the development and management of the annual budget and amendments.
  • Support budgetary oversight across various projects and departments.
  • Present financial insights and analyses to leadership.
Financial Analysis
  • Conduct in-depth financial analyses to inform strategic decisions.
  • Integrate financial data with operational metrics and performance indicators.
  • Utilize advanced Excel capabilities to analyze and present financial data effectively.
Loan Management
  • Interpret loan agreements to ensure accurate setup in the loan management system.
  • Process payments and ensure proper accounting in the financial system.
  • Prepare loan statements and respond to audit inquiries related to loans.
  • Act as the primary contact for borrowers, addressing inquiries and providing assistance.
Process Optimization
  • Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing financial operations.
  • Develop strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline workflows and eliminate redundancies.
Project Support
  • Assist project managers in ensuring proper management and accounting of project budgets.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to facilitate project success.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external financial inquiries.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform other tasks as required to support the financial operations and objectives of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Power Query and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience with financial management systems.
  • General ledger management experience.
  • Knowledge of loan agreements and management processes.
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
