Position Overview:
The Fiscal Analyst plays a vital role in financial planning and analysis, ensuring the accurate compilation of statistical data to generate insightful financial reports. This position is essential for timely and precise submission of contract and grant billings.
The Analyst will work closely with the CFO and Senior Director, operating under the guidance of the contract fiscal manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Risk Management (50%):
- Assist in the annual budget planning process, collaborating with the CFO.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Compile and analyze statistical data to evaluate financial performance.
- Track insurance coverage and maintain a comprehensive schedule.
- Update and manage third-party contracts, including memorandums of understanding.
- Coordinate with insurance brokers for timely renewals and issuance of Certificates of Insurance.
Contracts Fiscal Management (50%):
- Ensure accurate and timely billing submissions to government contracts and private grants.
- Maintain and update FTE tracking and grant/contract matrices.
- Monitor expenses against authorized budgets and spending limits.
- Validate service units and metrics in collaboration with program managers.
- Process billing entries in the accounting system.
- Compile documentation to support billing requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, accounting, and program departments.
- Complete additional tasks as needed to support funding opportunities and manage grant and contract budgets.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or economics, with a preference for accounting backgrounds. Proficiency in Excel and data visualization is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of contracts, accounting principles, and government audits. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects are crucial.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A commitment to professionalism and accuracy is required.
