Role Summary: As we expand our operations, we are seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join our vibrant Finance team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, the VP of Finance, and various stakeholders across our organization to enhance our financial strategies and support comprehensive forecasting and planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Forecasting & Analysis (40%):
    • Develop comprehensive financial models that account for revenue growth and cost structures across diverse markets and hiring scenarios.
    • Collaborate with the accounting team on monthly financial closures, forecasts, and variance analyses, providing insights to senior leadership.
  • Business Collaboration (40%):
    • Assist in the bi-annual planning cycle by engaging with cross-functional teams to monitor targets and assumptions, producing variance analyses for budget managers.
    • Work closely with operations, demand generation, and clinical talent teams to integrate various inputs into our overall growth strategy.
    • Assess performance metrics across internal departments and support investment and capital allocation decisions with financial insights.
  • Reporting to Leadership & Investors (20%):
    • Prepare materials for quarterly board meetings, focusing on in-depth financial topics.
    • Deliver regular updates and analyses for investors and respond to ad-hoc requests.
    • Compile monthly financial summaries for the Leadership Team.

Impact Areas:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Analyst and Director of FP&A on enterprise supply and demand modeling, validating key inputs and assumptions.
  • Drive financial and operational reporting to leadership, including monthly, quarterly, and annual budget analyses.
  • Enhance the forecasting and reporting processes, including departmental budgets and workforce planning.
  • Work proactively with stakeholders to refine enterprise KPI reporting, providing actionable insights to executives.
  • Prepare analyses and presentations for the Board of Directors and investors, supporting fundraising initiatives.
  • Lead process improvement projects to enhance the efficiency of the Finance department.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a highly analytical role, ideally within investment banking, private equity, or finance in a high-growth startup or tech environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, reporting, modeling, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying actionable insights to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating initiative and rigor in supporting complex projects.
  • Proficient in analyzing large data sets; expertise in Excel and familiarity with financial analysis tools (e.g., Looker, SQL) is preferred.
  • Team-oriented mindset, adaptable to various roles and capable of managing multiple priorities.
