Position Overview:

The Fiscal Analyst plays a vital role in financial planning and analysis, coordinating the collection of statistical data to generate insightful financial reports. This position ensures the accurate and timely submission of contract and grant billings and supports the CFO and Senior Director while working under the guidance of the contract fiscal manager.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Risk Management (50%):

  • Assist the CFO during the annual budget planning cycle.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Compile statistical data and service units to evaluate financial performance.
  • Track commercial and general liability insurance, maintaining a roll-forward schedule.
  • Update and manage third-party contracts, including memoranda of understanding and agreements.
  • Coordinate with insurance brokers for timely renewals and issuance of Certificates of Insurance as required by contracts.

Contracts Fiscal Management (50%):

  • Submit accurate and timely billings to government contracts and private grant funding agencies monthly.
  • Maintain FTE tracking and grant/contract matrices.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure compliance with authorized spending and budgetary line items.
  • Validate service units, statistics, and metrics in collaboration with program managers to meet revenue goals.
  • Process billing entries in the Intacct Accounting system.
  • Compile documentation to support billing requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance/accounting, program, and development departments.
  • Complete additional assignments as needed to support GLIDE's funding opportunities and monitor grant and contract budgets.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or economics, with a preference for accounting. Proficiency in Excel, including graphs, tables, and visual presentations, is essential. Candidates must understand basic principles of obligations, contracts, accounting concepts, and government audits.

Successful candidates will be exceptionally motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong mathematical and budget planning skills. The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines is crucial. Effective oral and written communication skills are necessary, with the ability to adapt to various circumstances. Candidates should be able to work independently and under supervision while demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and a high level of accuracy.
