POSITION SUMMARY

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to oversee a range of enterprise-level IT projects and process enhancement initiatives. This role entails comprehensive project coordination, establishing and executing project management methodologies, and ensuring adherence to our program standards to deliver projects punctually, within budget, and to high-quality benchmarks that meet client expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take primary charge of project leadership, ensuring completion and communication of all project deliverables, including project charters, schedules, timelines, status reports, resource plans, and budgets.
  • Manage and plan the implementation of technology solutions, encompassing requirements definition, system design, testing, deployment, training, and communication to align with organizational needs.
  • Provide regular, professional communication to project team members, department heads, business sponsors, and senior leadership. Proactively identify, track, and resolve issues, risks, and dependencies related to managed projects, and communicate these to the project team and senior leadership.
  • Build strong relationships within business lines to understand needs and deliver value.
  • Collaborate with other project managers to identify interdependencies that may impact project success.
  • Demonstrate expertise in project management methodologies, facilitation skills, and change management techniques.
  • Partner with organizational leaders to assess strategic goals, define operational solutions, and manage implementation and integration with operational departments.
  • Report to the Director of the IT Program Management Office (PMO).
  • Oversee one or more medium to large-sized, moderately complex initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of direct project management experience, including defining project scope, developing schedules, budget estimates, resource planning, and risk assessment/mitigation for complex business and IT projects.
  • Experience in applying program and project processes and methodologies across various organizational levels.
  • Proven success in collaborating with both technical personnel and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in systems implementation projects, including requirements gathering, vendor selection, solution design, testing, deployment, and change management.
  • Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in managing transformative projects from conception to implementation.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to understanding technical aspects.
  • A collaborative team player who motivates project teams and drives project success.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this position reflects the lower and upper limits of the Alterra Mountain Company Shared Services Inc. salary range. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as experience, education, training, location, and responsibilities. This range is one aspect of the Company's total compensation package, which may include additional incentives and region-specific benefits.
