About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive - Medical Devices to join our team at Univar. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term partnerships with our customers in the medical devices industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a territory of accounts consisting of Univar's most strategic customer segments, including high-volume, high-revenue, and multiple-product accounts.
  • Forecast customer demand and implement strategies to address driven situations, while also implementing Univar's marketing plans to improve sales of key products.
  • Work closely with industry representatives on secured accounts of existing customers.
  • Uncover and evaluate customer needs and use financial analysis to develop and support solutions that match our product/service offerings.
  • Conduct targeted prospecting using a variety of resources.

Requirements:

  • Four-year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, marketing, business, or other related discipline.
  • Three or more years of strategic account management experience, with chemical sales experience being a plus.
  • Formal sales training or equivalent experience in consultative sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills required. CRM and/or other database experience highly desired.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with a wide variety of personality types at various professional skill-levels.
  • Proactive, positive, and a great teammate who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to take on new challenges and risks on a continual basis.
  • Goal-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills, and decision-making abilities.
