Job Summary:

The Director, Business Development will be responsible for acquiring new clients, building strong relationships, and strategically positioning the company in the market. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, and a strong creative ability to secure new meetings from C-suite to procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Acquisition: Identify and secure new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and networking, conducting market research to identify prospects that fit the Baesman Ideal Customer Profile, and developing targeted outreach strategies to engage with key decision-makers.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective clients, engaging with C-Suite executives to understand their business needs and challenges, and leveraging industry knowledge to position our solutions effectively and create value for prospects.
  • Needs Assessment and Solution Presentation: Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand the specific requirements and pain points of clients, analyze client feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for business expansion, and collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions to meet prospects' needs.
  • Solution Presentation and Selling: Develop and deliver compelling presentations that showcase the company's products or services, articulating the unique value proposition and benefits of the company's offerings.
  • Pursuit Planning and Proposal Coordination: Develop comprehensive pursuit plans for key opportunities, coordinate the preparation and submission of proposals, ensuring alignment with client expectations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for proposals.
  • Negotiation and Closure: Assist in the negotiation process, addressing client concerns and ensuring a win-win outcome, and drive opportunities through the sales pipeline to successful closure.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Account Executive/Business Development Leader or in a similar role.
  • A self-starter who knows creative ways to start and build new relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in securing new clients and meeting revenue targets.
  • A strong understanding of business needs and ability to translate them into solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with C-Suite executives.
  • Proven track record of developing pursuit plans and coordinating proposal opportunities.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close deals successfully.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Business Development experience in a retail agency or related is a plus.
