Our comprehensive 12-month transition-to-practice program is designed to support your journey from nursing student to professional nurse through a blend of education, mentorship, and peer collaboration.

This Nurse Residency program equips new graduate nurses with the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary for continuous improvement in quality and safety at the point of care.

The program features a structured orientation led by experienced preceptors, complemented by diverse learning experiences.



As a Nurse Resident, you will:
  • Enhance your clinical judgment to swiftly identify changes in patient conditions and assess the urgency of clinical situations.
  • Develop strong communication skills to effectively engage with colleagues and support patients.
  • Participate in cohort experiences that foster peer and professional networking, reinforcing your commitment to nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

The staff nurse delivers nursing care to patients across the lifespan, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

They operate within the framework of organizational policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability.

The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining practice standards and coordinating patient care activities among all assigned staff to ensure high-quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education Required:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Minimum Experience Required:
New graduates of a nursing program are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required by Law:
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Georgia and BLS certification.

Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced certification in specialty area, if applicable.
