Role Summary

The Program Supervisor acts as the main liaison for the execution and management of the nursing program. This role provides expert, professional, and operational support in alignment with the guidelines set forth by the Georgia Department of Community Health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages the overall program operations
  • Evaluates all necessary documentation for annual reviews
  • Assists educators in addressing student concerns
  • Prepares materials for program approval and re-approval
  • Ensures effective teaching practices and tracks student progress
  • Supports the recruitment and selection of students for each cohort
  • Secures and maintains essential teaching resources and equipment
  • Facilitates learning by crafting comprehensive syllabi and engaging instructional activities
  • Implements evaluation methods for student performance in accordance with Helms Career Education and Georgia Department of Community Health standards
  • Coordinates clinical schedules and assessment preparations
  • Aligns instructor schedules and class offerings
  • Encourages student engagement in all educational activities
  • Keeps the Program Manager updated on curriculum and conduct matters
  • Familiarizes with emergency protocols displayed in the classroom
Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
  • At least one (1) year of RN experience in a long-term care setting
  • Experience in adult education and/or supervising nursing aides
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, communication (both verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and occasional weekends
