Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Coordinator to join our team at the U.S. Marine Corps. This role will provide administrative support to our Marine Forces Reserve Marine Corps Community Services/Semper Fit division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the comprehensive, year-round programs and activities within the Marine Forces Reserve Marine Corps Community Services/Semper Fit division.
  • Coordinate and perform a wide variety of responsible administrative functions in support of management functions.
  • Operate a personal computer and peripheral equipment to produce a variety of correspondence.
  • Compose, edit, and proofread reports and correspondence prior to Director's/Deputy Director's signature.
  • Establish and maintain subject matter, files, and records.
  • Make arrangements for travel and transportation as directed.
  • Responsible for directives from handwritten drafts or oral instructions in accordance with available guidelines and instructions by utilizing a personal computer.
  • Responsible for correct spelling, punctuation, and proofreading of typed materials.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Three years of experience that demonstrates broad knowledge of administrative practices and principles.
  • Skill to organize and coordinate multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously.
  • Skill to prepare documentation and presentations in proper format in accordance with naval correspondence rules of grammar and punctuation.
  • Skill to operate a personal computer, and associated peripheral equipment and software.
  • Knowledge of a variety of support functions such as gathering statistical data, monitoring and reporting on support budgets, assisting in developing financial plans; obligating funds, liquidating travel claims; maintaining stock of office supplies.
  • Skill to deal with employees at various levels in the organization and to represent the division with customers external to the organization.
Working Conditions

This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
