Job Title: Construction Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector to join our team at Shrewsberry & Associates LLC. As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed in accordance with approved contract documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports to the Resident Engineer.
  • Collaborate with contractors and project managers to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Monitor and document daily progress, including measurements and quantities.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and daily safety meetings to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Interface with public officials, property owners, and clients to address any concerns or issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records and filing documents as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Resident Engineer.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • 8 years of experience in inspecting construction activities.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification (minimum) and OSHA 30-hour certification (preferred).
  • ACI Level I certification.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the company's vehicle insurance policy.
