Key Responsibilities

As a Civil Project Engineer at CESO, you will be responsible for the design and preparation of engineering construction documentation, specifications, and details for multiple projects concurrently. Your technical expertise will be crucial in participating in both internal and external meetings. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting senior team members with site design work on site plans and construction drawings, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, roadway, and utility layouts using Civil 3D.
  • Conducting research on design criteria based on project scope and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Performing site design calculations and analyses based on researched codes and regulations relevant to assigned tasks.
  • Providing thorough and accurate documentation of calculations.
  • Comparing design options and documenting findings to produce detailed civil engineering studies and reports.
  • Reviewing technical and civil engineering drawing markups and making necessary revisions.
  • Applying civil engineering technology principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various projects.
  • Ensuring adherence to effective civil engineering methodologies according to industry standards.
  • Managing workload assignments for departmental co-ops.
  • Participating in internal and external client meetings.
  • Completing other project-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Preferred: Passage of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn, HydroCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
