Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
As a Civil Project Engineer, you will be tasked with the design and preparation of engineering construction documentation, specifications, and details for multiple projects concurrently. Your role will involve:

  • Assisting senior team members in executing fundamental site design tasks, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, roadway, and utility layouts utilizing Civil 3D.
  • Conducting research on design criteria based on project scope and jurisdictional mandates.
  • Performing site design calculations and analyses in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Documenting calculations thoroughly and accurately.
  • Comparing design alternatives and documenting findings to create detailed civil engineering studies and reports.
  • Reviewing technical drawings and making necessary revisions.
  • Applying civil engineering technology principles, techniques, and procedures to various projects.
  • Ensuring adherence to effective civil engineering methodologies in line with industry standards.
  • Overseeing workload assignments for departmental co-op students.
  • Participating in internal and external client meetings.
  • Executing additional project-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Preferred completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in civil engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn, HydroCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
