Job Overview

Position Title: Program Manager, Young Adult Family Fund

Salary Range: $80,000 - $87,980 annually, $3,076.92 - $3,383.85 per pay period

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

This position operates in a hybrid environment, allowing for two remote workdays each week. In-office attendance is required on designated days.

Position Summary:

The Program Manager will oversee the administration of the Young Adult Family Fund. This role encompasses various responsibilities including project oversight, budget management, grant administration, research, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grant Administration: Oversee the fund's grantmaking activities, including:
  1. Facilitating the evaluation and due diligence of potential grantees.
  2. Coordinating grant awards and ensuring alignment with program expectations.
  3. Monitoring the grant lifecycle, including agreements, reports, and communications.
  4. Tracking budget allocations and expenditures related to grants.
  5. Collaborating with various teams to enhance existing processes.
  6. Drafting grant-related materials such as agendas and reporting templates.
  7. Conducting data analysis and evaluations of the grants portfolio.
  • Program Management: Administer the fund's operations, including:
  1. Scheduling meetings and site visits with stakeholders.
  2. Managing meeting logistics, including agendas and follow-ups.
  • Maintaining project management systems and documentation.
  • Performing routine administrative tasks as needed.
  • Community Engagement: Deliver responsive services and manage stakeholder relationships, including:
  1. Providing high-quality client services to the donor family and grantees.
  2. Fostering ongoing relationships with community organizations and stakeholders.
  3. Identifying technical assistance needs for partners.
  4. Supporting attendance at meetings and events as required.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on grantees and relevant policies, including:
  1. Participating in workshops and training sessions to gather insights.
  2. Conducting research as part of the grantmaking lifecycle.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned based on fund needs.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:

  • Experience: At least four years in mission-driven programs, preferably in relevant fields such as housing, youth development, or mental health.
  • Knowledge of the Los Angeles County nonprofit sector and experience working with diverse communities.
  • Facilitation skills for effective meeting management.
  • Strong communication and analytical abilities, with proficiency in data visualization.
  • Technology proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database software.
  • Project management skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings and events, requiring occasional vehicle use.
  • Availability to communicate with clients outside standard business hours.
  • Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours as needed.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are essential.
