Position Overview

We are in search of a passionate and seasoned Executive Director to guide our organization, acting as a vital link between our Scientific Advisory Board, contributors, and the communities we serve.

The Executive Director will report directly to the Board of Directors and will hold comprehensive operational responsibility for fundraising, awareness initiatives, programs, and the execution of our mission. This role requires developing an in-depth understanding of the sector, community model, operational framework, business strategy, and objectives of K2 Staffing, LLC to refine the strategic vision of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizational Development: Foster consistent and sustainable growth for the organization, enhancing our outreach and impact. Travel may be required to meet with donors as necessary.
  • Program Oversight: Supervise the creation, delivery, and quality assurance of K2 Staffing, LLC’s programs and services, ensuring they are responsive to community needs and aligned with our strategic objectives.
  • Effective Communication: Serve as a compelling storyteller and communicator, effectively sharing our mission, vision, and impact with diverse audiences through various platforms, including public speaking, media engagements, and written communications.
  • Operational Management: Ensure the organization operates smoothly and efficiently, with robust systems in place for human resources, technology, and financial oversight. Manage staff recruitment, training, development, and retention strategies to cultivate a high-performing team.
  • Board Relations: Provide leadership and maintain strong relationships with the Board of Directors by offering support, communication, and reports that enable the board to fulfill its fiduciary responsibilities effectively. Collaborate with the Board to develop and manage a meaningful, multi-year strategic plan and assist in identifying, recruiting, and orienting new board members whose skills and commitment will advance the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Financial Oversight: Supervise the financial health and sustainability of K2 Staffing, LLC, ensuring responsible resource management and compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the non-profit sector, demonstrating a successful track record in fundraising and organizational growth.
  • Experience in managing a non-profit staff team and board of directors, showcasing strong interpersonal and team-building abilities.
  • Ability to deeply understand mental health research and evidence-based interventions, with the skill to translate complex scientific concepts into accessible language for varied audiences.
  • Proven capability to cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, foundation partners, and corporate grant makers, resulting in substantial financial support for organizational priorities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to inspire and engage others through compelling storytelling and advocacy.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., non-profit management, evidence-based research, communications, etc.) is preferred.
