Job Overview

Position Title: Program Manager, Young Adult Family Fund

Salary Range: $80,000 - $87,980 annually

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for remote work two days a week, with mandatory in-office attendance on designated days.

Position Summary: The Program Manager will oversee the operations of the Young Adult Family Fund. This includes responsibilities in project oversight, financial management, grant administration, research, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Administration: Oversee the fund's grantmaking activities, including:
  1. Facilitating the evaluation and due diligence of potential grantees.
  2. Coordinating grant awards and ensuring alignment with expectations.
  3. Monitoring the grant lifecycle, including agreements and reports.
  4. Tracking the initiative's budget and grant expenditures.
  5. Collaborating with various teams to refine processes and practices.
  6. Drafting materials related to grantmaking.
  7. Conducting data analysis and evaluations of the grants portfolio.
  • Program Management: Administer the fund's operations, which includes:
  1. Coordinating meetings and site visits with stakeholders.
  2. Managing meeting logistics, including agendas and follow-ups.
  • Maintaining project management systems and documentation.
  • Performing routine administrative tasks as needed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Provide excellent client service and manage relationship timelines, including:
  1. Delivering top-tier service to donors and grantees.
  2. Fostering relationships with community organizations and stakeholders.
  3. Identifying technical assistance needs for partners.
  4. Supporting participation in meetings and events as required.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on grantees and relevant policies, including:
  1. Attending workshops and reporting insights to the team.
  2. Engaging in research for grant lifecycle activities.
  • General Duties: Additional responsibilities as assigned based on fund needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least four years in mission-driven roles, preferably in relevant sectors such as housing, youth development, or mental health.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with the Los Angeles nonprofit landscape and best practices in relevant fields.
  • Facilitation Skills: Proficient in leading meetings and group discussions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Project Management: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a desk for extended periods.
  • Travel may be required for meetings and events.
  • Availability for client communication outside regular hours may be necessary.
  • Occasional weekend or extended hours may be required.
  • Punctuality and attendance are critical for this role.
