About Us

At Young Storytellers, we ignite creative self-discovery through the art of storytelling. Our initiatives place young individuals at the forefront of their narratives, affirming the significance of their stories and celebrating their distinct voices. We envision a future where young people recognize the influence their thoughts, emotions, and expressions can wield in their communities.

Our organization collaborates with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. In elementary education, students craft original scripts; in middle school, they narrate personal challenges; and in high school, they analyze media portrayals of various communities, creating narratives that resonate with their self-identified identities. Each participant works alongside volunteer mentors, culminating in performances by professional actors. Our programs align with Common Core standards, incorporate Social and Emotional Learning, and embrace Learning for Justice's Social Justice Standards.
