Technical Lead for PSD Engineering

The PSD Engineering Technical Lead will provide essential technical guidance to team members engaged in the investigation of potential non-conforming part issues. This role emphasizes leadership in daily technical operations and analysis to ensure comprehensive problem resolution and report accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct root cause data analysis related to problematic items.
- Act as a technical authority to ensure parts conform to specifications and drawings.
- Serve as the subject matter expert, addressing or escalating issues while implementing effective countermeasures.
- Ensure that NARS reports and technical summaries clearly communicate concerns based on data evaluation.
- Lead investigations and preventative measures for assigned issues to guarantee containment of parts and completed units.
- Analyze parts through dimensional layouts and design reviews to identify causes from manufacturing or supplier sources.
- Oversee NARS report correlation to maintain report and cost accuracy.
- Review previous shifts' reports to identify gaps in containment or analysis.
- Confirm operational standards and ensure supplier communication regarding issues and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with sorting contractors and suppliers on quality concerns.
- Support technical training and mentorship for associates.
- Lead high-impact repair projects and manage project resources effectively.
Candidate Profile:
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Desired Skills:
- Quality assurance and blueprint reading.
- Part measurement and proficiency in Catia/3D.
- Strong skills in MS Office, negotiation, and communication.
- Ability to summarize complex analyses and countermeasure activities.
- Application of Honda Philosophy.
- Effective communication and influence.
- Ability to foster teamwork and value relationships.
- Capability to train new associates in problem-solving techniques.
