Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Co. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and implement technical activities and solutions to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
- Develop and implement new technologies and processes to improve equipment and process efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve safety, quality, and delivery gaps.
- Monitor and manage equipment and processes to ensure optimal manufacturing performance and function.
- Develop and manage investment and expense budgets to achieve overall cost targets.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with relevant experience.
- 6 years equivalent experience required in lieu of a degree.
- Manufacturing co-op/internship experience preferred.
- Computer literate to support industry-standard software applications.
- Positive attitude, open-minded, and a team player.
- Strong self-motivation and desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Self-managed and able to provide and set direction for others to be successful.
- Demonstrates leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrates strong communication (verbal/written) skills.
- Ability to multi-task and solve complex problems through analysis to propose and implement appropriate countermeasures based on timing, quality, and cost.
- Strong technical analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Work in a production environment requiring PPE and lockout in manufacturing operations.
- Manufacturing environment with the potential of working near hydraulic oils, cutting lubricants, ferrous and aluminum materials.
- Hands-on investigation and troubleshooting within equipment to countermeasure issues and to determine improvement activity.
- Working with hand/power tools, automation equipment, quality gauging, and instrumentation.
- 50% office environment/50% manufacturing lineside activity.
- 10-15 hours overtime per week possible.
- Possible weekend or off-shift support as necessary.
- Travel 5% (domestic & international).
