Vice President of Regional Operations - Commercial Lines Small Business
We are seeking a highly skilled individual to oversee our Commercial Lines Small Business segment within the Atlantic and Northeast regions. This role offers flexibility for hybrid or remote work arrangements.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Regional Operations is accountable for driving growth and profitability within their designated market area. This role encompasses full P&L responsibility, with an emphasis on enhancing business performance, streamlining processes, and cultivating technical expertise within the team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure the financial success and expansion of a specific market segment, as indicated by P&L metrics.
2. Lead a diverse team of professionals and support staff, directing their performance and development.
3. Formulate and execute strategic initiatives, best practices, and business objectives.

4. Manage the agency distribution network and implement effective sales strategies to foster business growth.

5. Provide guidance on policies, strategies, and technical disciplines, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and market conduct.

6. Conduct regular quality control assessments and audits to maintain high standards of decision-making and output.

7. Oversee development projects that influence pricing, coverage, and operational efficiencies.

8. Formulate pricing strategies that align with market competitiveness and profitability.

9. Direct product and service development initiatives based on market trends and stakeholder feedback.

10. Analyze competitor offerings and internal performance to recommend enhancements to products and processes.

11. Present and train stakeholders on new product introductions and enhancements, ensuring alignment with operational processes.

12. Develop comprehensive materials to support product launches and service improvements.

13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions based on market analysis.

14. Establish guidelines and procedures that address business needs and support strategic objectives.

15. Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements throughout project development.

16. Work closely with the sales team to devise strategies for profitability and growth, including product positioning.

17. Lead a pricing analysis team to ensure alignment with profitability targets.

18. Coordinate with systems integration teams to manage rate revision schedules.

19. Make informed strategic decisions based on comprehensive market knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred, with a Master's degree in management or business being advantageous. A minimum of five years of experience in property/casualty insurance, particularly in commercial lines, is required, along with five years of management experience. Professional designations in insurance are desirable.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. A thorough understanding of insurance policies, pricing methodologies, and regulatory compliance is essential.
