Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Institutional Advancement to join our team at Scion Nonprofit Staffing. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with private foundations, corporations, and government agencies to secure funding for our client's mission-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of institutional funders, including private foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
  • Identify and cultivate new funding opportunities, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Research and analyze philanthropic trends and funding opportunities to inform development strategies.
  • Prepare and submit grant proposals, applications, and reports to secure funding.
  • Manage grant budgets and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
  • Serve as the primary institutional contact for the organization, providing excellent donor stewardship and communication.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in institutional giving, with a proven track record of securing funding from private foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
  • Strong understanding of donor database systems, such as Raiser's Edge or Salesforce, and computer operating systems like Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Highly organized, communicative, and collaborative, with the ability to work as a team or individually to produce results.
