NLP Model Specialist

Position Summary:

We are looking for a talented and forward-thinking NLP Model Specialist to contribute to our innovative projects at EPIC Health System LLC. This role is essential for the creation, implementation, and enhancement of natural language processing models, particularly those based on GPT technology and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) systems. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) methodologies, along with practical experience in refining and deploying sophisticated language models to achieve business objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Model Creation: Architect, develop, and execute state-of-the-art language models, with a focus on GPT and other advanced NLP frameworks.
  • Model Optimization: Tailor and enhance language models to boost their effectiveness for targeted applications.
  • Integration with RPA: Merge language models with RPA technologies to streamline and improve operational workflows.
  • Research & Development: Keep updated with the latest trends in NLP, ML, and AI, applying insights to enhance our systems and methodologies.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment of language model applications with strategic goals.
  • Performance Evaluation: Assess and analyze the efficiency of deployed models, ensuring adherence to quality and performance benchmarks.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain thorough documentation for all language models, encompassing usage instructions, performance indicators, and best practices.
  • Training & Guidance: Offer training and support to colleagues on the effective use and optimization of language models.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline. A Master's or Ph.D. is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in developing and deploying NLP models, with a strong focus on GPT and similar technologies.
    • Practical experience with RPA tools and their integration with AI models.
    • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent.
    • Experience utilizing cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for model deployment.
  • Technical Proficiencies:
    • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
    • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, data structures, and data preprocessing methods.
    • Acquainted with libraries and tools like Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI API, and other NLP resources.
    • Experience with version control systems like Git and collaborative development practices.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in creating custom language models tailored for specific industry needs.
  • Knowledge of ethical AI practices and data privacy regulations.
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.
  • Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, RPA Developer).
