Your Responsibilities:
In this role, you will deliver engineering and reliability expertise in the selection, development, and evaluation of electronic components, ensuring they meet timing, cost, and quality benchmarks. Your duties will include:

  • Establishing component quality, reliability, and testing criteria.
  • Participating in internal design assessments for electronic components.
  • Evaluating component reliability qualification programs and methodologies.
  • Creating component qualification strategies (AEC-Q100/101/200, JEDEC, MIL-STD, etc.).
  • Addressing critical supplier-related quality challenges.
  • Conducting failure analysis to identify root causes.
  • Leading reliability and risk assessment initiatives based on production or field failure data.
  • Assisting Supplier Quality Engineering with supplier audits.

Industry Representation:
You will also represent the organization in industry committees, contributing to the review and update of standards.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in reliability engineering for semiconductor electronics, with expertise in standards such as AEC-Q100/101/200, JEDEC, and MIL-STD. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required, along with familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and technologies.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in failure analysis tools and techniques, including but not limited to optical inspections, acoustic microscopy, X-ray, SEM, FIB, TEM, and curve trace analysis is essential.

Knowledge Requirements:
Applicants should have a working knowledge of:

  • Reliability stress testing and aging models.
  • IC block circuit analysis and semiconductor physics.
  • Quality Risk Management Tools (Ishikawa, FMEA, FTA, 8D, and statistical methods).

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics/Chemistry is required (Master’s degree preferred).

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $145,000 to $165,000 annually, with additional bonus opportunities.

Additional Information:
This is a direct-hire position with minimal travel requirements. Relocation assistance is available, and visa sponsorship for H1B transfers or TN is offered.
