Job Description

Mymedtrust is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Health Services Administrator, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit to a criminal background screen and maintain security clearance
  • Submit to a pre-employment drug screen
  • Follow all County Policies and Procedures with regard to security and patient contacts
  • Attend mandatory monthly staff meetings and annual trainings either by phone or in person
  • Scan paper documents into medical records
  • Review medical records for accuracy and completeness of documentation prior to scanning
  • Review Release of Information for accuracy and transmit to appropriate outside agency/provider
  • Review sent ROIs and monitor receipt of records
  • Maintain HIPPA log for all records released
  • Complete requests for approval of, and scheduling for, outside appointments
  • Keep all information regarding patient appointments confidential between security and the HSA only

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other administrative duties including, but not limited to, tracking statistical data, faxing requests for records, reconciling records received, scanning documents into the EMR, and inventorying and ordering pharmaceutical and medical supplies
  • Prepare packets for quarterly and annual MAC meetings, CQI, and infection control meetings
  • Prepare agenda, handouts, and minutes for the monthly staff meeting
  • Treat staff, security, and all patients with respect and professionalism

Requirements:

  • Follow chain of command at all times
  • Follow all PREA guidelines and standards as set by the Sheriff's Office
