Personal Care Attendant Program Educator

POSITION: PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANT PROGRAM SKILLS TRAINER
The Skills Development Trainer within our Personal Care Attendant (PCA) program is responsible for delivering training, resources, and guidance to empower consumers in managing their PCA services independently within the community. This full-time position operates in a hybrid model, primarily from our Greenfield office, and serves consumers across Hampshire, Hampden, and Berkshire Counties.

Compensation: $21.60 per hour, with mileage reimbursement. QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of one year of experience providing services to individuals with disabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Required computer literacy
- Ability to visit consumers in their homes and availability for emergency situations outside of regular hours
- Knowledge of Mass Health Personal Care Attendant program regulations and procedures
- Capability to educate individuals with disabilities and their caregivers about program responsibilities
- Familiarity with disability issues, employment law, and community resources
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct both in-person and telephonic orientations and training sessions for consumers and their representatives, clarifying program procedures and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date consumer records, including entries in electronic databases.
- Respond to inquiries from individuals wishing to apply for PCA services or modify existing services.
- Manage monthly workload to meet deadlines and ensure timely training sessions.
- Collaborate with staff, per diem, and contracted Skills Trainers and RNs to schedule assessments and clinical evaluations.
- Consult with RNs and Skills Training Supervisors regarding consumer concerns and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
- Engage in staff meetings and training opportunities.
- Utilize personal mobile devices and company-approved applications for work-related tasks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
