Job Overview

Position: Healthcare Service Coordinator

Duration: 06 Months

Work Arrangement: Remote

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage a range of requests, inquiries, and transactions through various communication channels including phone, email, and fax.


• Assess requests for precision and completeness.


• Provide assistance to both internal and external clients via phone or email.


• Record all relevant details pertaining to inquiries, attaching necessary documentation and escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate department.


• Collect and evaluate data to offer insights to Team Leaders regarding employee training needs and specific providers that may require guidance on pre-authorization or pre-certification procedures.


• Screen inquiries to ascertain if prior authorization is necessary.


• Confirm member benefits and eligibility as well as provider configurations.


• Update and maintain Service Requests while investigating any discrepancies or missing information.


• Efficiently triage and delegate incoming inquiries to the appropriate personnel throughout the day.


• Conduct monthly Peer Audits as required.


• Communicate clinical review outcomes to members and providers through both verbal and written formats.

Qualifications:


• High school diploma or GED is required.


• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
