Job Summary

The Director of Business Development is responsible for expanding the client base of U.S. Venture through strategic partnerships and business development initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of the transportation, supply chain, and logistics industries, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry experts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the transportation, supply chain, and logistics industries
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of U.S. Venture's service offerings and their value proposition
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and other business development activities
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential business opportunities and track progress towards closing deals
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on business development progress and pipeline activity

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in business development, including experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of the transportation, supply chain, and logistics industries
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in the SaaS, transportation, supply chain, or logistics industries
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to take calculated risks
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
