Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Program Manager

Key Responsibilities:

The Environmental Sustainability Program Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Corporate Services organization in measuring, managing, and reporting climate-related metrics associated with greenhouse gas (GHG) and carbon emissions stemming from business operations and real estate activities. This individual is essential to the Sustainability department's efforts in program management, reporting, analysis, and fostering relationships aimed at minimizing our carbon footprint, which contributes to cost reductions, operational efficiencies, and emission reductions across the economy. With a strong emphasis on data integrity, process consistency, and reporting accuracy, this role will ensure sustainable reporting and practices that are cost-effective, operationally efficient, and environmentally responsible.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, research, or a related field, with some project management background
  • 2+ years of experience in sustainability or greenhouse gas/carbon accounting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to consolidate data and utilize functions such as VLOOKUP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience with online content management and collaboration tools, preferably Salesforce and/or Salesforce Net Zero Cloud
  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with greenhouse gas emission accounting standards (GHG Protocol) and sustainability reporting frameworks such as CDP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the telecommunications, technology, and connectivity sectors
  • Experience in public accounting or consulting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and report GHG inventory data in various formats (Excel, PowerPoint, dashboards) and breakdowns (by scope, goals/targets, and business division) as required by Sustainability or internal teams
  • Support cross-functional stakeholders in collecting activity data, including data validation and surveys from site managers as necessary
  • Consolidate reporting of emissions reduction initiatives across Scopes 1, 2, and 3; ensure carbon reduction initiatives are reviewed and approved by relevant internal stakeholders
  • Assist in process improvements, analysis, audits, and reporting on GHG, climate, and efficiency initiatives data collection methods
  • Benchmark and research sustainability practices from publicly available reports (ESG reporting, SASB, CDP, TCFD)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the Sustainability program

Compensation:

  • The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $120,000 annually. Factors influencing pay within this range may include geographic location, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
