Overview

The Vice President of Technology at Century Communities plays a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of the organization. This leadership position is designed for a visionary who is committed to driving technological advancements within the homebuilding sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Technology Development: Formulate and execute a technology strategy that is in harmony with Century Communities' overarching business objectives. Keep informed about industry developments and new technologies to pinpoint areas ripe for innovation.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Assemble and guide a dynamic technology team, promoting a culture centered on execution, innovation, teamwork, and ongoing professional growth. Provide mentorship to empower team members to reach their highest potential.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the technology team to ensure seamless collaboration, operational excellence, and achievement of both operational and project milestones.
  • Data and Analytics Oversight: Direct data and analytics initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of superior data solutions. Implement industry best practices in data management and project execution.
  • Infrastructure Management: Supervise the optimization and management of Century Communities' IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud solutions, ensuring system reliability and security.
  • IT Service Management: Manage all aspects of IT service delivery, including service desk operations and desktop support, while advancing a self-service and automation agenda.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with external technology vendors and partners to assess, select, and manage third-party solutions that meet the company's requirements.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 10 years of demonstrated experience in technology leadership, with a proven record of fostering innovation, operational excellence, and digital transformation.
  • Extensive expertise in managing infrastructure, software development, and IT service delivery.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement technical architectures that leverage existing resources to achieve business goals.
  • A strategic mindset with the capability to translate technology trends into viable business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate across various functional areas and influence key stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong project management capabilities with experience overseeing multiple large-scale projects concurrently.
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary technologies and software development methodologies.
  • Significant experience with the following technologies:
    • Data & Analytics Development
    • Microsoft Azure, including Fabric, Synapse, API Management, and AzureSQL.
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Qlik Replicate and Qlik Cloud Data Integration (QCDI)
    • .NET Framework
    • Infrastructure Management
    • Microsoft Azure, including Entra ID, API Management, and Office365
    • VMWare ESX and vCenter
    • Microsoft Windows Server and associated products
    • Cisco Networking Solutions
    • IT Service Delivery Management
    • Service Desk Operations
    • ITSM Reporting and Metrics
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability to new challenges and situations.
  • A solid understanding of the homebuilding or construction industry is advantageous.

Compensation: Century Communities aims to provide a competitive annual base salary in the range of $200,000 to $250,000, complemented by an annual bonus. Actual offers will be determined based on various factors, including experience.
