Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the direction and resource allocation for a team of Cybersecurity Analysts and Engineers, establishing strategic objectives and monitoring performance to achieve these targets.
  • Supervise daily operations related to cyber risk identification and mitigation; assess business and technical requirements to uphold optimal monitoring and analytical capabilities. Act as a primary responder and facilitator for proactive cyber risk management within the organization.
  • Attract, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing team; foster an environment conducive to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements to guide leadership and teams in the effective use of tools, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current and emerging threats and vulnerabilities affecting the organization and its sector.
  • Cultivate and sustain productive relationships with external service providers. Collaborate with business unit leaders and service providers to enhance and refine cybersecurity capabilities within the organization.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure and Cybersecurity, with substantial and current experience in enterprise-level platforms.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years in Information Technology, including at least 3 years in a management role overseeing complex functions, teams, or programs.
  • At least 5 years of direct experience in cybersecurity operations and/or incident response.
Licensure and Certifications
  • One or more relevant technical/professional security certifications (e.g., COMP-TIA Network+, Security+, SANS GIAC, CISSP, CRISC, CISA, or similar) are preferred.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training
  • 5-7 years of relevant subject matter expertise required.
  • Leadership experience is preferred.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and present complex technical information to diverse audiences, providing recommendations with justifications to leadership.
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving skills, including critical thinking, root-cause analysis, and business risk assessment capabilities.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector or critical infrastructure is preferred.
