Position Overview

CommonSpirit Health is a prominent healthcare organization formed through the merger of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the direction and resource allocation for a team of Cybersecurity Analysts and Engineers, establishing strategic objectives and managing performance to achieve these targets.
  • Supervise daily operations related to cyber risk detection and remediation; identify business and technical requirements to uphold superior monitoring and analytical capabilities. Act as a primary responder and facilitator for proactive cyber risk mitigation within the organization.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing team; foster an environment that promotes continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements to guide leadership and teams in the optimal use of tools, techniques, and procedures.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current and emerging threats and risks affecting the organization and the sector.
  • Cultivate and sustain collaborative relationships with third-party service providers. Partner with business unit leaders and service providers to enhance and refine cybersecurity capabilities within the organization.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure and Cybersecurity, with current and in-depth experience in enterprise-level platforms.
  • This position offers remote work eligibility.
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years in Information Technology, including at least 3 years managing a complex function, team, or program.
  • At least 5 years of direct experience in cybersecurity operations and/or incident response.
Required Licensure and Certifications
  • One or more relevant technical/professional security certifications (such as COMP-TIA Network+, Security+, SANS GIAC, CISSP, CRISC, CISA, or vendor-specific) are preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training
  • 5-7 years of relevant subject matter expertise is required.
  • Leadership experience is preferred.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and present complex technical information to diverse audiences, providing well-justified recommendations to leadership.
  • Strong investigative, problem-solving, critical thinking, root-cause analysis, and business risk analysis skills.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector or critical infrastructure is preferred.
