Job Overview

Position Summary

K2 Staffing is seeking a dedicated Construction Financial Specialist to join our team. This role is essential for managing financial aspects of various construction projects, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate subcontractor applications, lien releases, and supplier affidavits for accuracy and adherence to billing standards.
  • Communicate with subcontractors regarding any missing or non-compliant billing documentation.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Project Managers and subcontractors throughout the payment cycle until completion.
  • Facilitate subcontract payments while ensuring all billing requirements are satisfied.
  • Organize subcontract documentation and manage an electronic filing system efficiently.
  • Confirm subcontractor compliance with prevailing wage requirements when necessary.
  • Review subcontract agreements and change orders for precision, updating the accounting system as needed.
  • Execute job cost transfers related to materials, equipment, and other associated expenses.
  • Compile necessary invoices and documentation for monthly owner verification.
  • Perform general accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Team-oriented mindset with experience in a collaborative work environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting administration.
  • At least 1 year of accounts payable experience within the construction sector.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks for at least 1 year.
  • Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative, prioritize tasks, and complete projects effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail along with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
