Position Summary: As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the financial processes associated with our commercial and multi-family projects. Your primary duties will involve overseeing accounts payable and ensuring all invoicing is executed with accuracy and compliance. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in detail-oriented tasks, are adept at handling complex financial responsibilities, and prefer working independently to maintain precision and regulatory adherence.

Compensation:

$70,000 and above

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Administer accounts payable for development projects, ensuring timely and precise payments.
  • Supervise invoicing processes, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure financial integrity and adherence to standards.
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and budgets for various projects.
  • Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary guidelines.
  • Develop and enhance accounting systems and procedures for greater efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to provide financial insights and support.
  • Ensure all financial operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Deliver comprehensive financial analyses and reports to stakeholders regarding project performance.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or equivalent certification is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, particularly in commercial or multi-family projects.
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the real estate development industry.
  • Familiarity with construction accounting software.
