Position Summary

The Senior Financial Reporting Specialist will play a crucial role within our finance and accounting team, contributing to the high standards that define Hughes Marino. This position is located at our headquarters.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Forecasting and reconciling balance sheets.
  • Budgeting and managing the monthly close process.
  • Revenue recognition and variance analysis.
  • Preparing and posting journal entries.

Key Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of corporate experience overseeing financial functions, including auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, and project control.
  • Proficient in gathering financial data and preparing comprehensive reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in variance analysis, revenue analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Skilled in producing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports using Excel and/or MS Dynamics.
  • Experience with revenue recognition and intracompany accounting across multiple entities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain complex financial models.
  • Self-driven with strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and communicating effectively with management.
  • Experience in refining the month-end accounting close process.
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO to analyze spending drivers and support business decisions through ad-hoc financial analyses.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities while working in a high-performance team environment.

Compensation

The compensation for this role ranges from $110,000 to $125,000, depending on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Additional Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in accounting or financial planning within a small to medium-sized organization.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in a business context.
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Dynamics, or equivalent enterprise-level software.
  • Experience in commercial real estate is not a prerequisite.
