Position Overview:
We are in search of a proficient Construction Financial Specialist to manage financial operations tailored to construction initiatives.

This role is essential for maintaining precise financial records, analyzing project costs, managing budgets, and ensuring adherence to industry standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of construction financial principles and experience collaborating with project management teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all financial activities associated with construction projects.
Track project costs, budgets, and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts for construction initiatives.
Conduct cost analysis and variance analysis to pinpoint areas for improvement and efficiency.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable related to construction contracts.
Work closely with project managers to deliver financial insights and support informed decision-making.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations concerning construction finance.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as necessary.
Assist in the preparation of bids, proposals, and financial models for upcoming projects.
Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support.

Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is advantageous.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction finance or a related field.
Strong knowledge of construction financial principles, including job costing and revenue recognition.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 Construction, Procore) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Experience with financial reporting for construction projects is preferred.
