Fluor and Energy Materials, a division of Orbia, is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to contribute to our mission.

Primary Objective

To fulfill the procurement needs across the organization in the UK and EU, delivering a value-driven, efficient service to internal stakeholders. This role supports the execution of business strategies and objectives through the cost-effective procurement of materials, goods, and services while adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee a Procurement Officer to ensure their daily tasks are effectively managed, maximizing their contribution to the organization. Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to comprehend and fulfill their needs, acting as a partner to achieve business goals while minimizing costs and maximizing value. Internal customer satisfaction is a crucial measure of success. Collaborate with the EMEAI Procurement Manager to formulate procurement strategies for engineering and non-engineering goods and services in the UK & EU. Identify areas for improvement in your area of responsibility, working closely with stakeholders and procurement team members. Assist the EMEAI Procurement Manager in developing and implementing purchasing processes, procedures, contractual standards, and commercial relationships. Ensure that end-user requirements are met and that supplier relationships are established, maintained, and enhanced. Support the EMEAI Procurement Manager in monitoring and reporting on purchasing expenditures for engineering and non-engineering goods and services. Manage the evaluation, selection, and negotiation with suitable suppliers for the procurement of engineering materials and services of moderate complexity, ensuring optimal terms and conditions are achieved. Ensure alignment with the EMEAI Procurement Manager. Foster supplier relationships and ensure their performance is monitored and improved.

Qualifications

Minimum:

CIPS qualified or equivalent experience.

Required Knowledge/Experience

Extensive experience in a Senior Procurement Officer or similar role. Proven experience in mentoring and managing personnel. Comprehensive understanding of commercial and procurement systems and procedures. Familiarity with Supplier and Contractor Management. Strong negotiation capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across various stakeholders. Proficient IT skills, including experience with purchasing systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
