Position Summary:

The role of the Client Support Specialist is crucial in maintaining exceptional service levels for our clients. This position requires the execution of daily operations with precision and adherence to our company's core values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate seamless shipment processes.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry in our operational systems.
  • Monitor and trace shipments effectively.
  • Communicate proactively and clearly with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage client billing accurately and resolve any disputes.
  • Understand and meet customer expectations as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
  • Participate in cross-training to support team operations.
  • Represent Expeditors professionally to customers, service providers, and regulatory agencies.
Expectations:
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Adopt and leverage technology to improve work processes.
  • Complete a minimum of 52 hours of training annually, including mandatory sessions.
  • Foster and develop customer relationships to exceed their expectations.
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency and a willingness to provide solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in various software applications, particularly mainframe systems.
  • Ability to operate a 10-key by touch.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Capability to identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with management to implement changes.
  • Function effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Strong understanding of Export Compliance regulations.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Export Clearance Specialist, Dangerous Goods – Ground and Air, IATA/FIATA, Export Compliance Specialist, Customs Broker, and Sales Certification are advantageous.
Reporting Structure:
  • Reports to Transcon Lead Agent, Transcon Supervisor, or Transcon Manager.
Additional Information:

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Benefits:
Expeditors offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid vacation, holiday, and sick time, along with an expected compensation range of $18.00 to $22.00. Additional benefits include an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, a 401k Plan, and opportunities for training and professional development.
