Position Overview:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a crucial role in aligning the strategic objectives of the organization with the needs of employees and management within specific business units. This position is instrumental in fostering partnerships across the HR spectrum to provide valuable services that resonate with the company's goals. The HRBP is expected to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the business unit's financial health, strategic plans, culture, and competitive landscape.

This role is based onsite at Hitachi Global Air Power.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate regular meetings with designated business units to discuss HR initiatives.
  • Lead training sessions, including onboarding for new hires and supervisory training for managers.
  • Provide HR guidance to line management, ensuring effective consultation.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to devise innovative solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Address and resolve intricate employee relations challenges, conducting thorough investigations as necessary.
  • Stay informed on legal requirements affecting employee management to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Offer daily performance management support to line managers, including coaching and career development.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to enhance workplace relationships, boost morale, and improve retention rates.
  • Interpret and advise on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR concerns.
  • Provide insights on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational restructuring.
  • Identify training needs for teams and individual coaching requirements.
  • Evaluate and monitor training programs to ensure effectiveness and follow up on objectives.
  • Support managers throughout the year in the Performance Management process, including goal setting and performance reviews.
  • Review employee benefits and assist with enrollment and changes as necessary.
  • Support staffing and recruitment efforts, HRIS management, compensation, performance management, and leave administration as required.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

  • At least 8 years of experience in resolving complex employee relations matters.
  • Proficient knowledge across various HR disciplines, including compensation, organizational development, employee relations, diversity, and compliance with employment laws.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is preferred.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or SCP certification is advantageous.
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
