This role is based onsite at Hitachi Global Air Power.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate regular discussions with designated business units.
  • Lead training initiatives, including onboarding for new hires and supervisory training sessions.
  • Advise line management on HR-related matters, offering guidance as necessary.
  • Evaluate trends and metrics in collaboration with the HR team to devise effective solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Address and resolve intricate employee relations challenges, conducting thorough and impartial investigations.
  • Stay informed about legal requirements concerning employee management, minimizing legal risks, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Collaborate with the legal department as needed.
  • Provide ongoing performance management support to line managers, including coaching, career development, and disciplinary processes.
  • Engage with management and staff to enhance workplace relationships, boost morale, and improve productivity and retention rates.
  • Offer guidance on HR policies and their interpretation.
  • Assist international personnel with expatriate assignments and related HR issues.
  • Contribute insights on organizational restructuring, workforce planning, and succession strategies.
  • Identify training requirements for business units and individual coaching needs for executives.
  • Participate in the assessment and monitoring of training programs to ensure their effectiveness, following up to confirm that objectives are achieved.
  • Support managers throughout the year to ensure adherence to the Performance Management process, including goal setting and performance reviews.
  • Review employee benefits and assist with enrollment, changes, and cancellations as necessary. Manage benefits administration and communicate relevant information to employees.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, HRIS management, compensation strategies, performance management, and leave administration as required.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

  • At least 8 years of experience in resolving complex employee relations matters.
  • Solid understanding of various HR disciplines, including compensation, organizational analysis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and relevant employment laws.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or SCP are advantageous.
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
