About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Solution, Implementation and Deployment team within Technology organization at American Express Global Business Travel. As a Deployment Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the deployment of Customer Product tools globally, working closely with various teams to ensure seamless implementation and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end implementation and deployment of customer product tools across markets globally.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans for applicable projects.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including Implementation, Service Delivery, Commercial, Product Development, and Support.
  • Coordinate discussions with clients to set expectations and resolve company infrastructure, travel policy interpretation, and user enrollments.
  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot site functionality, including travel policy, pricing, and PNRs.
  • Contribute to the improvement of quality, standardization, and documentation of implementations globally.
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners across global Amex GBT locations.
  • Update management of implementation status on a weekly basis and participate in weekly team meetings.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical support on specifications for implementation.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of corporate travel and multiple GDS (Amadeus/Sabre/Apollo/Galileo) and online booking tools (such as KDS, Concur, GetThere & others).
  • Ability to think analytically and conceptually, with in-depth knowledge of Web/internet/server knowledge.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and contribute to team objectives.
  • Previous experience in Project Management is desired, with the ability to drive results in a P/L environment.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the capacity to work virtually and strong organizational skills.
Problem Solving & Decision Making
  • Identification and escalation of critical issues, including discrepancies between global contracts and local needs.
  • Ability to cross-communicate in a matrix environment, testing site decision trees.
  • Consult and determine the cycle of implementation plans with customers and internal GBT teams.
  • Determine and escalate delays during implementation cycles, with final launch decisions.
  • Consult and provide technical support on specifications for implementation.
