Position Overview:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a crucial role in aligning the strategic objectives of the organization with the needs of employees and management within specific business units. This position fosters collaborative partnerships across the HR spectrum to provide valuable services that resonate with the company’s goals. The HRBP is expected to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the business unit's financial health, strategic plans, culture, and competitive landscape.

This role is performed onsite at Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate regular meetings with business unit leaders to discuss HR initiatives.
  • Deliver training programs, including orientation for new hires and development sessions for supervisors.
  • Provide HR consultation to line management, offering guidance on various HR matters.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to devise effective solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage complex employee relations challenges, conducting thorough and impartial investigations.
  • Stay informed on legal requirements related to employee management, minimizing legal risks and ensuring compliance.
  • Offer performance management support to management, including coaching and disciplinary guidance.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to enhance workplace relationships, boost morale, and improve retention rates.
  • Interpret and provide guidance on HR policies.
  • Assist international employees with expatriate assignments and HR-related issues.
  • Contribute to business unit restructuring, workforce planning, and succession strategies.
  • Identify training needs for teams and individual coaching requirements.
  • Evaluate and monitor training programs to ensure they meet their objectives.
  • Support managers throughout the year in adhering to the Performance Management process.
  • Review employee benefits and assist with enrollment and changes as necessary.
  • Support staffing and recruitment efforts, HRIS management, compensation, and leave management as required.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

  • At least 8 years of experience in resolving intricate employee relations issues.
  • Proficient knowledge across various HR disciplines, including compensation, organizational development, employee relations, diversity, and performance management.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or SCP are advantageous.
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
