NVIDIA's Silicon Solutions Group is in search of a dynamic engineer to join our Silicon Hardware team. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting product objectives, identifying opportunities, and collaborating across teams to design and propose innovative power management features. Your work will significantly influence the development of the next generation of NVIDIA products across various segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement system-level power features to meet both existing and emerging product needs.
  • Analyze and optimize deep learning and AI workloads on Data Center platforms.
  • Prototype features on current silicon/platforms, lead technical return-on-investment assessments, and create feature implementation plans for new silicon.
  • Examine workload profiles to uncover potential opportunities for enhancement.
  • Provide insights on challenges and opportunities during feature proposal evaluations.
  • Oversee debugging efforts from the hardware perspective to identify root causes of feature sequence bugs, silicon issues, and complex system-level problems arising from interactions between various hardware and software features.
  • Collaborate closely and proactively with other engineering teams, including system architects, chip and board designers, software/firmware engineers, hardware/software QA teams, and Applications Engineering teams to facilitate the design, development, debugging, and release of next-generation products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of professional experience in Energy/Power Optimization, Data Centers, and ASICs.
  • Proven experience in optimizing Data Center systems.
  • Familiarity with ASIC power-saving features, system-level power-saving strategies, and optimizing products that utilize multiple ASICs with shared power constraints.
  • In-depth understanding of firmware/driver architectures and their interactions with hardware.
  • Working knowledge of PVT dependencies and binning methodologies.
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, including digital design, computer architecture, power analysis, timing analysis, fault analysis, sampling, statistics, and scripting.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
