The Aviation Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing aircraft servicing activities in line with maintenance directives and operational work orders during scheduled maintenance checks or during routine line operations.

These activities are performed under the supervision of Line Maintenance Supervisors and certified personnel (B1s and B2s), as well as Senior Aviation Technicians.


Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with OHSA regulations, aviation maintenance industry standards, and the procedures outlined in the maintenance department's Manual of Operations and Engineering (MOE).
Maintain adherence to Safety and Quality protocols throughout all tasks.
Report any safety risks and incidents through the Safety Management System (SMS) reporting mechanism.
Conduct maintenance activities on aircraft engines, structures, and systems in accordance with the most recent maintenance data.

Support complex maintenance operations under the direct oversight of the respective B1/B2 Support Staff and Senior Aviation Technicians.

Execute responsibilities related to critical aircraft safety systems under direct supervision.
Assist in hangar-related operations such as aircraft towing, jacking, refueling, and defueling.
Strive for efficient and cost-effective execution of tasks.
Utilize tools, equipment, and facilities properly, reporting any damaged or malfunctioning items.
Contribute to the enhancement of processes and procedures aimed at minimizing waste and costs.
Maintain personal training and maintenance experience records in accordance with industry standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:


Preferably completed an apprenticeship at an aircraft maintenance organization, or successfully finished an apprenticeship as a technician or mechanic in a related maintenance field.

Experience as a junior aviation technician with adequate skill, competency, and knowledge in aircraft maintenance practices and procedures.
OR
Worked as a technician or mechanic for 5-6 years in any other maintenance sector or environment.
Intermediate understanding of engineering principles, familiar with technical and workshop protocols.
Detail-oriented with effective time management and multitasking abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal capabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
Fluent in both spoken and written English.
Technical qualification to MQF Level 3 (preferably in aircraft maintenance).
Preferably completed a technical apprenticeship program.
Possession of SEC at O-Level standard in English Language, Physics, and Mathematics.
