As an Automotive Repair Technician 1 (Body Repair), you will engage in intermediate-level tasks involving the maintenance and restoration of various automotive mechanical and body equipment.
This role is specialized in auto body repair, where you will be responsible for executing repair work on vehicles. Additionally, those in the Mechanical Repair specialty will focus on the mechanical and hydraulic systems of trucks, cars, and other types of vehicles and machinery.
Your assignments will be consistent and will adhere to established trade practices and general work instructions. You will have a significant influence on the repair tasks you undertake.
Work Environment:
The work conditions may be partially controllable, requiring light physical effort, including working in challenging positions and occasionally lifting heavy materials. You will operate under the general supervision of a technical superior.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Completion of education equivalent to the twelfth grade.
OR
Completion of a post-secondary trade program diploma.
OR
Graduation from an associate's degree program in Automotive Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience:
At least two years of experience as a helper or apprentice in the automotive body repair trade.
OR
One year of experience in a similar capacity.
