Job Overview:

The Facilities Operations Lead will report directly to the Facilities Manager and Engineer, overseeing a dedicated team of skilled tradespeople and external contractors. This role is crucial in managing the daily maintenance and repair operations of production equipment and facility infrastructure, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and airworthiness standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of mechanics in executing daily maintenance and repair tasks for production equipment and facilities.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to address routine operational challenges.
  • Organize and allocate materials, tools, and workforce in alignment with scheduled tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal users, suppliers, and external contractors to facilitate seamless project execution and maintenance activities without disrupting production.
  • Establish performance benchmarks for the maintenance team and external labor to ensure adherence to safety protocols and high operational standards.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Technician apprenticeship with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or
  • Completion of a Craft apprenticeship with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or
  • Completion of HKDSE/HKCEE or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Additionally, candidates should possess:

  • A valid Certificate in Construction Industry Council (CIC) for their trade and one additional certification in another trade, or
  • For Air-conditioning Trades, registration as a worker with "Grade R Electrical Work," or
  • For electricians, registration as a worker with "Grade A Electrical Work."

Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to coaching and knowledge transfer to less experienced team members are essential for success in this role.
