Codaray Construction Business Development Director Job Description

Codaray Construction, a leading commercial construction company, is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead and direct our business development efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for positioning Codaray Construction to secure new commercial building work, presenting a positive company image in the community, and bringing in opportunities that align with our growth goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, business development, and commercial construction, with a proven track record of success in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You will be responsible for managing relationships with existing clients and new prospects, delivering exceptional quality, good communication, and timeliness, ensuring clients have a positive experience with Codaray Construction.

Additional responsibilities include participating in continuing education programs, professional/industry/community organizations, and attending appropriate seminars and conferences. You will also be responsible for identifying and researching potential clients, coordinating with marketing teams to develop proposals, negotiating contract terms with clients, and communicating with stakeholders, monitoring project teams ensuring contracts are executed as agreed.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office and other construction software utilized by Codaray
  • Self-motivated and ability to adapt to assigned tasks

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle interruptions

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Engineering, Design, Construction Management, or related field preferred).
  • Ten years sales experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction or a related industry with a successful track record required.
  • In-depth business background with a reasonable working knowledge of the technical aspects of commercial general contracting.
