Role Summary:
The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient customer service operations. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining a seamless flow of service and communication with clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage essential tasks effectively and uphold the company's commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage purchase orders.
  • Create and maintain purchase requisitions.
  • Conduct daily billing and sales reporting, liaising with management as necessary.
  • Enter customer orders accurately into the system.
  • Coordinate shipping details with customers and arrange pickups.
  • Maintain and update customer contact databases.
  • Follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices.
  • Communicate regularly with customers to track order status.
  • Respond promptly to requests for quotes (RFQs).
  • Utilize office equipment including multi-line phones, computers, printers, and filing systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess one to two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a professional phone demeanor.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, is required.

Work Environment:
The role requires standing for extended periods, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting boxes. Candidates should be comfortable working in a typical office environment with exposure to standard office conditions.
