Key Responsibilities:

The Global Fund Banking (GFB) Credit Specialists play a crucial role in facilitating an efficient loan approval package production process for the GFB portfolio management team.

The primary responsibility of the Credit Specialist is to generate loan approval packages, ensuring their timely completion and adherence to First Citizens Bank policies and procedures regarding accuracy, consistency, and thoroughness.

This entry-level position requires the application of critical thinking skills to gather necessary credit data and basic underwriting information, compile essential documents, and perform other tasks to ensure a comprehensive credit package.

Daily collaboration with colleagues in GFB Portfolio Management is essential to maintain an effective workflow, as well as direct interaction with the Middle Office and Loan Closers to support a prompt and precise loan booking process.


Main Duties:
  • Preparation of all credit packages for new and existing facilities, including the assembly of required documents and data fields.
  • Modification of all amendments to ongoing credit packages.
  • Engagement with internal stakeholders for all credit-related actions, serving as a point of contact for any inquiries or issues that may arise.
  • Basic credit projections and analysis.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of experience in financial services, or a High School diploma/GED with 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact across various business levels.
  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM systems is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
  • Capability to identify and rectify data errors.
  • Able to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
